YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff Mohd Kassim

Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff Mohd Kassim, a Malaysian aged 69, was appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Konsortium Lebuhraya Butterworth-Kulim (KLBK) Sdn Bhd on 13 March 2008. Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff is also the Chairman of PLUS Expressways Berhad.

Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff holds a B.A. (Honours) Economics degree from University of Malaya, a Diploma in Economic Development from Oxford University, United Kingdom and a M.A. Economics from Vanderbilt University, USA. He was the Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad from 1994 to August 2003 and previously sat on the Boards of UEM, RHB Bank Berhad, UEM Land Sdn Bhd and SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Prior to joining Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff served as the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance for 3 years.

Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Sheriff is the Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research, Deputy President of the Malaysian Economic Association and he serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Manulife Insurance Malaysia Berhad, Intelligent Edge Technologies Berhad, Scientex Incorporated Berhad and Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad. He also sits on the Board of Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad and two other private limited companies – Projek Penyelenggaraan Lebuhraya Berhad and Bandar Nusajaya Development Sdn Bhd.

Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid
Executive Director

Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid, a Malaysian aged 48, was appointed as the Executive Director of Konsortium Lebuhraya Butterworth-Kulim (KLBK) Sdn Bhd on 13 March 2008.  Noorizah is also the Managing Director of PLUS Expressways Berhad.

Noorizah holds a Master in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, United States of America.

Prior to her appointment as the Managing Director of PLUS Expressways Berhad on 1 April 2007, she was the Managing Director of Faber Group Berhad (Faber Group) from 17 March 2003 until 31 March 2007 and has been appointed as Director of various subsidiary companies of Faber Group.  She was attached to various positions in finance and corporate advisory with Syarikat Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Terengganu Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Terengganu State Development Corporation, Permodalan Nasional Berhad and Amanah Merchant Bank Berhad prior to joining Renong Berhad as a Manager of Group Corporate Affairs in September 1991,

From January 1992 to August 1999, she held various positions in Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad and HBN Management Sdn Bhd.   She was posted to PLUS as Senior General Manager, Finance in 1997 before assuming her designation as the Chief Operating Officer of Faber Group on 9 August 1999. Noorizah also sits on the Board of Commissioner of PT Lintas Marga Sedaya, a PLUS Expressways Berhad’s subsidiary in Indonesia, Board of Directors of PLUS BKSP Toll Limited, Board of Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad and PLUS SPV Berhad. She is also the Executive Director of Expressway Lingkaran Tengah Sdn. Bhd. (ELITE) and Linkedua (Malaysia) Berhad effective from 13 February 2008.

Nik Airina Nik Jaffar
Director

Nik Airina, a Malaysian aged 45 was appointed as Director of Konsortium Lebuhraya Butterworth-Kulim (KLBK) Sdn Bhd on 13 March 2008. 

Nik Airina is the Chief Operating Officer of PLUS Expressways Berhad.  Prior to that she was the Senior General Manager of the Planning and Development Division.

Nik Airina has more than 20 years experience in the development, implementation and operations of toll highways.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami in 1985 and further pursued her Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at the same university. Before starting her career as an engineer at Beiswenger, Hoch and Associates, an engineering firm in Florida, she served the university’s Civil Engineering Department as a teaching assistant.

Before joining Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad in 2001, she was with Pengurusan Lebuhraya Berhad, now known as OPUS International (M) Berhad and was mainly involved in the project management of the North-South Expressway (NSE) design and construction.  Upon the completion of the NSE project, she furthered her career in Pengurusan Lantas Berhad and subsequently headed the Special Projects Division.

Nik Airina is also a fellow member of the Institution of Highways and Transportation (IHT) UK and also serve on the committee of IHT Malaysia Branch.

Annuar Marzuki Abdul Aziz
Director

Annuar Marzuki Abdul Aziz, a Malaysian aged 37, was appointed as Director of  Konsortium Lebuhraya Butterworth-Kulim (KLBK) Sdn Bhd on 13 March 2008. 

Annuar Marzuki is the Chief Financial Officer of PLUS Expressways Berhad.

He graduated with a Bachelor in Accountancy from the International Islamic University in 1993.  In 2003, he graduated with the Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the same university.  He also holds a Diploma in Comparative Law from Institute of Islamic Studies. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

He started his career in the Audit & Business Advisory Services, Pricewaterhouse in 1993 before moving to the Audit Department of UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd.  He joined Internal Audit Department of the then Renong Berhad in March 1995.  In March 1996 he moved to the Corporate Finance Department of the then Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd.  Subsequently, in March 1999 he joined Corporate Finance Department, Renong Berhad.  In July 2003, he was seconded to TIME Engineering Berhad as the General Manager, Corporate Finance.  In January 2004 he transferred to UEM Group Berhad as the General Manager, Office of MD/CEO. He assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer of PLUS Expressways Berhad in June 2006.
